This policy explains how Jackson Hill Digital (“we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing design, development, and hosting services. It covers this website and direct enquiries; it does not cover third-party websites we may link to.
We collect only what we need in order to respond to enquiries and deliver work. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

2.1 Information You Give Us
Our enquiry form asks for the details we need to scope a project and get back to you:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The type of service you are interested in, and any follow-up details you select
- An optional budget range
- Any notes you choose to add about your goals
If you contact us directly by email or phone instead, we hold whatever you include in that correspondence. If you go on to become a client, we also hold the project materials, briefs, and feedback you send us, plus the billing details needed to invoice you.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested. These typically include the IP address making the request, the browser and device type, the page requested, and a timestamp. This is generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability purposes rather than collected by us for marketing, and we do not use it to build profiles of visitors.
3How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, quote, or timeline;
- Deliver and support the services you engage us for;
- Send project-related correspondence, such as drafts, revisions, and delivery notices;
- Issue invoices and process payment;
- Keep records required for accounting, tax, and dispute resolution; and
- Maintain the security and reliability of this website.
We do not add enquiry contacts to a marketing mailing list without asking first, and we do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
4Third-Party Services
Some information necessarily passes through the suppliers we use to run the business. Each only receives what it needs to perform its function, and each processes it under its own privacy terms:
- Website hosting, serves this site and generates the server logs described above.
- Email, carries correspondence between you and us, and delivers enquiry-form submissions to our inbox.
- Payment processing, where you pay by card, the payment provider handles your card details directly. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Accounting, invoices and payment records are kept in our bookkeeping system.
We may also use tools for project management or file sharing during an engagement, where the material you send us is stored for the duration of the project. We do not pass your information to anyone else except where required by law.
5Cookies and Tracking
This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not currently run third-party analytics. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than loaded from an external provider, so viewing a page does not disclose your visit to a font host.
If we introduce analytics or any other tracking in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before it runs.
6Data Retention
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, after which they are deleted. Client project records, correspondence, and deliverables are retained for the duration of the engagement and then archived. Invoices and financial records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is typically several years and is not something we can shorten on request.
Server logs are retained on a short rolling basis by our hosting provider and are overwritten in the normal course.
7Your Rights and How to Request Deletion
You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You can also ask for a copy in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time where our use relies on it.
To make a request, email sales@jacksonhilldigital.com with “Data request” in the subject line, telling us what you would like us to do. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we may have to keep certain records, invoices in particular, where the law requires it; if so, we will tell you what has been retained and why.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including serving this site over HTTPS and limiting access to client material to the people working on your project. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as passwords or full card details by email.
9Children
This website and our services are intended for business clients and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services or the tools we rely on change. The revision date at the top of this page shows when it was last amended, and any material change will be reflected here before it takes effect.
